Protecting the Nation's Capital

Back in DC...

With the showdown in the Senate next week to nuke the Democrats' ability to filibuster the selection of right-wing Federal judges, the military has ramped up and tightened security in the nation's capital. An arsenal of F-16's, Howitzer canons, Bradley tanks, Apache helicopters and an assortment of unidentifiable weaponry and intelligence apparatus stood ready and waiting on the National Mall for any remnants of a counter-Congressional insurgency.
