About

TEL-SPAN is a public service of the US Department of Art & Technology. Our mission is to provide global access to the artistic process in an increasingly cybernated society. TEL-SPAN provides its audience access to live, real-time distribution of broad forms of cultural content, and to other forums where critical artistic issues are discussed, debated and decided – all without editing, commentary or analysis and with a balanced presentation of all radical points of view.

The Experimental News   Media Deconstruction Kit (MDK) Live
The Experimental News focuses on artistic events and activations surrounding the 2004 Republican National Conventio in New York City, an in-depth look at the Republican attack machine and other forms of right-wing propaganda.

The Media Deconstruction Kit reconfigures, disorients, and amplifies the mis-information of live broadcast media into an immersive, sensorial, multimedia experience. The MDK scrambles live news broadcasts and puts the altered matter out on the Net as a revolutionary weapon.
